Edo LG Boss Faces Impeachment Over IGR Fraud

The legislative arm of the Ovia South West local government area of Edo State has invited the council chairman, Hon Morrison Ogunorobo and its secretary, Ken Idahosa, to appear before it over a petition on alleged misappropriation of the council’s funds.

In a petition written by revenue consultants, Mr Dan Owegie (JNR) and Mr Harrison Ogunorobo to the council through their lawyers, G. A.

Izevbigie & Co and signed by Barrister A.I. Amasowomuan dated 3th August, 2015 and addressed to the legislative arm, they accused the duo of embezzlement of revenue allegedly paid to the council’s coffers which they claimed was diverted to personal account.
