SNOOP DOGG PULLED IN THE BIGGEST CROWD AT KENDAL CALLING 2015.

Following rumours questioning whether or not he would perform, Snoop Dogg drew in a 20,000 strong crowd at the annual event.

The legendary rapper’s set had come under question after large amounts of cash had been found on his person while in Italy.

$422,820 was confiscated from Snoop as he travelled from a show in Montepaone on to the U.K. for Kendal Calling.

However, Snoop still performed as scheduled in the penultimate slot just before Kaiser Chiefs on Sunday evening (2nd Aug 2015).

As revellers readied themselves for the set, with a ‘Drop It Like It’s Hop’ pint from the real ale tent, they were in for a wait. 20 minutes after his official start time Snoop arrived on stage in typically late fashion to 2Pacs ‘California Love’.

Snoop and co. were greeted by the most densely packed crowd of the weekend. Even more people had turned out from their tents than for the previous three night’s headliners; James, The Vaccines and Elbow.

Kicking off his set with Dr Dre’s ‘The Next Episode’, which he featured on back in 2001, a sea of hands bounced along to the track.

Set highlights came in the shape of fan favourites ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’ and ‘Gin & Juice’.
Snoop also showcased some of the many tracks that he has featured on. Including 50 Cent’s ‘P.I.M.P’, Akon’s ‘I Wanna F*** You’ and a surreal rendition of Katy Perry’s ‘California Gurls’.

Showing off the best of his back-catalogue Snoop encouraged the audience to sing along when prompted and put their “Mother-f***ing hands in the air”.

Despite having a whopping thirteen studio albums to his name, Snoop still managed to fit a few covers into his set. Including, House Of Pain’s ‘Jump Around’, Bob Marley’s ‘Jammin” and a random rendition of ‘I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll’ by The Arrows (or Britney Spears as you may remember it).

Finally, Snoop performed ‘Young, Wild & Free’ before thanking the crowd and leaving them with some parting advice.
