You have failed us, Manson tells Uhuru

South Mugirango MP Manson Nyamweya on Saturday told President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto to admit they have failed to lead the country.

Nyamweya said the challenges facing the nation are a clear indication Uhuru and Ruto are not in charge.

He urged the two to move with speed and save the country from collapse.

“Uhuru and Ruto should not bury their heads in the sand,” Nyamweya said.

“They should admit they have failed to address the problems facing the country because as it stands, things are not working properly.”

Speaking to the Star on the phone, Nyamweya opposed the government’s plan to retrench 40,000 civil servants to cut down the ballooning wage bill.

Nyamweya said the staff are not to blame for the deteriorating state of the economy.

He said the workers Jubilee wants to sack performed well under President Mwai Kibaki.

“The President should not start talking of retrenchment and yet the coalition government between Kibaki and PM Raila Odinga worked well with the same workforce,” the MP said.

Nyamweya said the economy will only improve if the government fights graft.
