According to a press release on the medical examiner's website, her body "was released to the family's designated funeral home at about noon" on Tuesday.
The medical examiner had received Brown's body after her death on Sunday. They performed a preliminary autopsy that showed "no significant injuries." Additional lab testing will be performed. (Full results may take weeks.)
Brown's death is still under investigation and her longtime boyfriend Nick Gordon was served with a multimillion-dollar civil lawsuit by Brown's conservator.
The Brown and Houston families are now preparing for the 22-year-old's funeral, that will likely take place on Saturday in Atlanta.
