BOMB FACTORIES: Army to begin demolition of buildings

The Nigerian Army said, weekend, that it will henceforth demolish private houses or structures found to be used as bomb-making factories in Borno State to serve as deterrent to those assisting Boko Haram terrorists.

Maj.-Gen. Yushau Abubakar, Theatre Commander, Operation Lafiya Dole, said this, adding: “We are working on plans to introduce more avenues for individuals to pass vital information across without being noticed.”

He was commenting on last Thursday’s multiple blasts at the Sajeri area of Maiduguri metropolis, where four suspected female suicide bombers detonated explosives, killing 14 people and injuring 39 others.
