Woman Nabbed For Dumping Dead Baby In Osun

Nemesis at the weekend caught up with a grandmother and one other person, when they attempted to dump the corpse of a seven year old girl, Iyadun Ajayi, at the back of her father’s house in Esa-Oke in Obokun Local Government Council of Osun State.

It was gathered that the young girl was living with her mother, after she had divorced the husband some years ago to marry an Islamic scholar in Ilesa.

Iyadun, who was said to have fallen ill was said to have died despite efforts to save her life. Following this, her mother, Funke, sent her mother, grandmother and a driver, identify as one Kassim and her new husband to dump the girl’s body at the back of her former husband’s house in Esa Oke.

But, some residents of the area who saw them raised the alarm and two of them were caught.

One of the residents, who pleaded not to be named, told our correspondent in Osogbo on Monday that the incident happened on Thursday night.

His words: “ We saw the people and challenged the know their mission. We discovered that they came to dump corpse of a seven year old girl at the back of her father.

“After checking the corpse thoroughly we discovered that her private part had been removed, the two buttocks, the knees and ankles were also mutilated. We raised the alarm and two of them ran away but the grandmother and the drivers were handed over to the police.” our source said.
